At what point are you pushing your kids too hard? Where is the line between toughness—physical, emotional and mental—and pushing them too hard?
If your athletes tell you that you’re pressuring them too much, it’s definitely time to back off. If you continue to push, it’s possible they’ll drop out of sports altogether and will no longer reap the many benefits of taking part in sports.
Some non-verbal signs that you’re pressuring them: If they’re not enjoying sports and want to skip practices and games, you might want to back off–especially if you suspect you’re pushing too hard.
