The Advantages of Competition

Competition is a natural part of childhood development and self-discovery. Just like anything else, competition in sports has advantages and disadvantages. A sport, by definition, is competitive and competition can help athletes grow in many important ways.

 Kids can apply the lessons they learn competing in sports to other aspects of their lives. That’s one of the benefits. The most successful business people today are very competitive by nature. Competition can also motivate kids to practice and train hard, commit to their goals, and feel determined to succeed.
