Practice Applying Mental Skills in Competition

Many athletes have trouble applying mental skill to competition because they do not practice these skills. When mental skills are well-learned, they can easily be applies to competition. It is important that you improve your mental skills in practice too.

Specificity training helps you practice the same way you compete. Specificity training helps athlete’s structure practice in a way that simulates competitive situations or the competitive environment. By simulating the circumstances and feel of a competition, it will improve your focus and intensity during practice.
